WB and DC Comics set to release 7 movies in the next 2 years!
Yes! You read that right!
Warner Bros. are planning to release 7 Superhero movies in the next 2 years as believed to be announced at Comic-Con in July.
The schedule that is planned is as follows:
May 2016 – Batman v Superman
July 2016 – Shazam
Xmas 2016 – Sandman
May 2017 – Justice League
July 2017 – Wonder Woman
Xmas 2017 – Flash and Green Lantern team-up
May 2018 – Man Of Steel 2
Wow! I for one cannot wait for these movies. WB and DC comics have definitely be playing catch-up, with Marvel Studios already into Stage 2 of their universe stories. With all of these planned movies coming out, i think they will have definitely caught up by then.
As well as DC comics going to the big screen, they are planning to take over our smaller screens as well. They have already 2 seasons of Arrow in the bag. The Flash will be airing on the CW network later this year. Also new shows Gotham and Constantine will be hitting our screens too.
Marvel have several TV shows planned for release on Netflix, such as Daredevil, Stories based around Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage and then The Defenders which will encapsulate all previous characters.
Are you excited for these new shows from WB and DC Comics? Will DC overtake Marvel as the number one franchise? Are they oversaturating the market?
