CANCELLED – Dallas – Season 3

dallas

No more Ewing family adventures as Dallas is cancelled after season 3. Could it be picked up by another network?

TNT have chosen not to renew the drama for a fourth season.

After airing 40 episodes, the viewers had started to turn off. Season 2 averaged 2.67 million, while Season 3 only managed to average 1.92 million, a -26% decline in viewers. It was one of TNT’s lowest rating scripted series and chances of its survival were always going to be tough with those numbers.

A continuation of the successful CBS series from the 1970s, 80s and 90s, Dallas follows the machinations of two generations of the dysfunctional and powerful Ewing clan. The cast includes Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell, Kuno Becker, and Juan Pablo Di Pace.

Although TNT have cancelled the drama, Cynthia Cidre, the showrunner for Dallas is optimistic that another network will pick up the show for a fourth season. Cidre has stated that she already has the first 3 episodes written, and an outline for the rest of the season, if it were to be renewed by another network.
