CANCELLED – Wicked City – Season 1

ABC have cancelled their new series Wicked City after airing only 3 episodes.

The show has been pulled after airing only 3 episodes due to poor ratings.

The series premiered only drew in 3.28 million viewers, which was poor, but ratings got even worse the following two weeks.

The three episodes aired only averaged 2.4 million viewers, which is terrible for the ABC, so it’s no wonder the show was pulled immediately.

Wicked City is set on the seedy Sunset Strip in the early 1980s. It revolves around Detective Jack Roth (Jeremy Sisto) and his new partner Paco Contreras (Gabriel Luna) as they try to solve a high-profile serial killer case. The rest of the show’s cast includes Ed Westwick, Erika Christensen, Taissa Farmiga, Karolina Wydra, Evan Ross, Anne Winters, and Jaime Ray Newman.

It is unlikely ABC will air the remaining 5 episodes, however, it is expected that ABC will put them online sometime in the near future.

Did you happen to catch the show? What were your thoughts on the sudden cancellation?

UPDATE: The production has now finished on the last remaining 5 episodes but ABC have announced they will be available for streaming soon.
